A Giveaway!!! A Giveaway!!!

Thanks to Joe’s Toes I can hold a giveaway.

Joes Toes stall

I saw Joe’s Toes first at the Handmade Fair last September at Hampton Court… I blogged a little about the fair here and also on my other blog, Angel Jem’s City Cottage which is less about hygge and more about a good complain now and again. We had a good chinwag, since it turned out that Amanda was originally from Garston in Liverpool and knew where I lived almost exactly. It’s a small world.

I missed her at Yarndale and although a pair of slippers was always on the cards for me, I never got the time to settle down and order them. So when Amanda (that’s Joe’s Mum who runs the whole show) offered me a slipper kit as a giveaway on the blog, I decided to bite the bullet myself and get me the pair of my dreams. Now I have a pair to make and a pair to give away. Lucky lucky you.

I’ll probably blog about my own pair as I make them. Slippers are so hyggely, aren’t they?

The giveaway pair are in turquoise and teal, size 7/8 but can be changed to suit the winner, and come with thread to sew them up, the plastic needle to do it with and flowers to decorate them with. Full instructions are available on the Joe’s Toes website, but the pieces are pre-punched, and I’m told the whole task takes less than an evening.

I’m offering the slipper kit with a free copy of my book, 50 Ways to Hygge the British Way. It comes out on Kindle and in Paperback this Friday, so I’m really looking forward to that.

And a word from our sponsors:

My blog is on Facebook as How to Hygge the British Way and you can now follow me on Bloglovin as well. I’m personally also on Twitter and Instagram and as a member of The Hygge Nook on Facebook.

My book, 50 Ways to Hygge the British Way is available in Paperback and Kindle version from Amazon from March 17th. That’s this Friday. I have a giveaway for the book about to start this week. The contents of the blog are entirely different from the blog, so don’t worry that it’s just posts rehashed. Not yet, anyway. If you purchase through the links on this page, I get a couple of pence extra per copy.

****How to Hygge the British Way Blog isn’t monetised. I have taken the decision that I want to remain neutral and not to promote things just because. I don’t carry adverts and I will only ever review items that I have bought myself, or that I think will help to promote hygge in a busy life. To do this, I need support. Even just the price of a coffee adds up to a book over time, and it means I can stay independent. Would you help? Please consider clicking through to paypal.me/HyggeJem and leaving even a small amount. I’d be very grateful. Thank you.***

  1. My ‘happy hygge’ at the moment is watching Danish TV show ‘Follow the Money’ with the wood burner blazing, a big blanket over my knees and my Scheepjes CAL in my hand. Oh, and maybe add a steaming cuppa within reach!
