It is a strange fact that as a Kindle author you don’t get a publisher and a publicist to take care of book sales for you. Nobody arranges the book tour, or blog tour, or any tour, nobody writes enthusiastic press releases, nobody takes charge of sending out review copies to the Big Names of whatever subject you’ve written about. It’s just not included.

That means that you take care of it all yourself. Fair enough, any money you make is undiluted by commission and charges. So with great pleasure and a MASSIVE smile I am pleased to announce that starting next Monday my book, 50 Ways to Hygge the British Way, is out on tour.

From next Monday 10th April the book will be travelling the length and breadth of York to show how versatile Hygge actually is. I’ll be posting daily reports here, there’ll be posts on Twitter and Instagram and the hashtag will be #50WaystoHyggeBookTour. Two weeks of travelling the world (of York) and then back to Earth with a bump.

What’s that you say? Can you join in? Well, yes you can! If you have a copy of the book, take a picture of it somewhere exotically hygge (Burnley, for example) and post it on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #50WaystoHyggeBookTour. I’ll be watching to see if any of you have made it this far down the post and whether any of you are crackers enough to join in.  Since the posts are pre-written and set in advance, I may well join in myself depending on where I get to over the Easter Break.

There is NO PRIZE and no reward, save that of knowing that you’re making an author very happy. Isn’t that reward enough?

And the ultimate challenge is to get my book across the Amazon river and into a Real Bookshop.

We have dreams.

I’ll remind you again (often) but start thinking now… where is the most hyggely spot that the book could be seen? And I will accept Kindle Readers as sources of the book, as long as you show the cover page. Think of it as a cozy challenge: ah go on, you know you want to…
